Hello, good people! My name is Aglika and I was born in Asenovgrad. I decided to tell you my story because I want everyone to know how important it is to do everything necessary so things can happen and not just sit and complain that life isn’t good. Sometimes we need just a little bit, but we keep on staying in our misery because we like it this way.
I’m currently living in Peisly, a small town near Glasgow, Scotland. I have been here for 8 months but I have the fidgets and I come back in Bulgaria. My problem was connected to a boy. Everything has started a year ago when I met him. People get to know each other more closely abroad than in Bulgaria. We got along very well and soon we started going out together, talked a lot, shared different things and lived our emigrant life.
Everything was normal, but at a certain point we fell in love. We had a wonderful relationship to the moment he decided to fall away from me because the difference in our ages troubles him – he is 41 years old and I am 22. He told me that he was fatally in love with me and I was too young and would leave him…
We continued seeing each other but we kept on discussing this issue. I should tell you he hasn’t ever been married. I’m not the kind of girl who will ruin a family. I kept on explaining how much I loved him but he kept on insisting I would leave him.
Age doesn’t matter if we love each other, does it? I gave him various examples of people who live together even if the difference in their ages is big. We even have a neighbor, who is 13 years older than her husband, and they have family and children, but we live in England after all, but he had been brought up differently.
However, I won’t tell you everything in detail. I will only tell you than one day after I went back home from work, he had left our apartment. We talked a lot, I asked him to come back. At the end, I wrote to Berkant. He sent me a love talisman. I had to wear it when I was meeting my boyfriend. I don’t know if you will believe me, but gradually things settled down. He became used to the thought that some day I will be 41 years old and we will be together.
